What's with all of these Tim Tebow haters? Do people really want to avoid seeing the second two-time Heisman Trophy winner in the history of college football?
America, we are watching one of the five best players to ever step on a college football field. There could be nothing better for the game than Tim Tebow winning the 2009 Heisman, and leading the Florida Gators to an undefeated National Championship.
Charles Barkley isn't a role model; Tim Tebow is
All across the country, young athletes want to be Timothy Richard Tebow. I'm not talking about the Tim Tebow who travels to the nation's most dangerous penitentiaries, preaching the word of God. I'm talking about the Tim Tebow who could be mistaken for Lattimer from The Program as he trucks a linebacker on his way to the end zone.We all know about trickle-down economics, but the theory applies to sports as well. When you have a great athlete who plays like Tim Tebow, his play inspires everyone in the realm. From teammates to opponents, and the millions of aspiring athletes who want to be what's next, building up elite players at the top trickles down and pushes the game as a whole.
No matter where you sit along the spiritual or religious fence, the fact is that Tebow has his morals in check and he lives a clean lifestyle. Always a strong interviewer, Tebow graciously accepts praise and quickly deflects the spotlight onto his coaches and teammates who aid him.
It’s rare to find an athlete who will lead your team to a victory with a bloodied face and then round up his teammates to volunteer for the school blood drive the next day.
On and off the field, Tim Tebow is the epitome of a winner, and he is the perfect reflection of what an amateur athlete should be.
Tebow makes grown men cry
At Urban Meyer's recent press conference, the Florida coach was brought to tears over the thought of losing Tim Tebow to graduation. After all Tebow’s done for Meyer, Florida and the legacy of both the coach and school, it’s hard to blame the man for shedding a few tears. You don't see Nick Saban or Mack Brown crying right now, and they have players and teams with just as much on the line.
"But he doesn't have the stats"
The most important stats in the world are wins and losses. This season, there are six teams without any losses and there should be five remaining when the Heisman is handed out.Tim Tebow is leading his team to an undefeated season. He didn't do that as a sophomore when he won the Heisman with a 9-3 record or when he was a finalist last year leading a one-loss Gators team to the National Championship.
Since the new millennium, the last nine Heisman winners have lost a combined nine games before playing in their bowls. We know Tebow lost three of those games, which is why he should not be expected to match 2007’s 55 total TDs to win the Heisman if his team is undefeated.
It's not as if Tebow’s current stats (25 total TDs with 2,654 total yards and only four turnovers) are disappointing. Don't forget that Tebow set SEC career records this season including breaking Herschel Walker's rushing TD mark -- just ask Eric Crouch if career records play into the Heisman.
EMBRACE OUR HERO
No matter how many times you search for Photoshopped images of Tim Tebow or post threads about how he will amount to nothing in the NFL, you won't be able to tear him down. The 2009 Heisman Trophy will cement Tim Tebow as the greatest college football player of this generation, right where he belongs.
Don’t you think the man deserves it?

Some people paint on canvas and some people use other forms for their canvas.
Scott Wade is a talented is a talented graphic designer, from Wimberley, Texas, who loves to get his hands dirty. He paints all kinds of pictures in the back of his and his wife’s car, using only his fingers, dust and a few brushes. From the Mona Lisa to the portrait of Albert Einstein, Wade has created a series of artworks that have often stopped traffic.
While I wouldn’t want my car to be dirty, it would be pretty badass to return to one of these works after a long day of work. Of course I’d probably sue the guy but whatever.
Enjoy the dirty car window art photos after the jump
